CAF CENTRAL TEXAS WING's 25th Annual Veterans Day Hangar Dinner Dance - November 14, 2026!

Come honor and celebrate the veterans who preserved our freedom at the Commemorative Air Force Central Texas Wing in San Marcos TX. Dinner and dancing to authentic 1940s music from the Sentimental Journey Orchestra next to historic WWII aircraft. It’s a night you won’t forget. All proceeds go to keep our aircraft flying!


SCHEDULE:

• 6:00 - 7:15 PM - Dinner served

• 6:45 - 7:10 PM - Swing Dance Lesson

• 7:15 - 7:30 PM - Presentations

• 7:30 - 10:30 PM - Sentimental Journey Orchestra and dancing


Dress for the event - Period attire (1940's) civilian or military is encouraged, others come in street clothes for comfort. Please no Halloween costumes. Come early to view the WWII aircraft outside the hangar. A dance contest and period attire dress contest round out a night of fun and enjoyment. Complimentary beer and wine.

Join us at Pistons & Props in Janesville, WI and continue the celebration of America 250 with a Living History Flight Experience in the Historic "That's All Brother"


About "That's All Brother" “That’s All Brother” is the most historically significant WWII aircraft flying today. It is the C-47A Skytrain troop carrier that led the Airborne Invasion on D-Day, June 6, 1944. This aircraft carried 101st Airborne Division paratroopers into France at the start of the D-Day invasion. It also served in several key WWII operations including Operation Dragoon, Market Garden, the Relief of Bastogne, and Operation Varsity.


Living History Flight Experience

  • Duration: The entire experience lasts approximately one hour.
  • Check-In: Passengers must check in one hour before take-off.
  • Pre-Boarding: Includes check-in, a passenger safety briefing, and a photo opportunity with the crew.
  • Flight Details:
  • Experience the engine start-up sequence.
  • A few minutes taxi to the runway.
  • Pause on the runway for a full engine run-up and flight clearance.
  • Once airborne, the flight lasts approximately 20-25 minutes.


Passenger Requirements

  • Age: Passengers must be 12 years or older to fly unaccompanied. Children between 5 and 12 may fly when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Physical Ability: All passengers must be able to enter and exit the aircraft unassisted and use a standard adult or child seat belt during the flight.

Take once in a liftetime ride in a WWII advanced fighter trainer in the Commemorative Air Force, Central Texas Wing's AT-6 Texan - a beautiful WWII advance trainer. Or ride take a ride like a general in our U3a Blue Canoe, executive transport aircraft. Click below to purchase your ride!


This Living History Flight Experience is like no other, and the entire experience lasts approximately one hour. Passengers must check in 45 minutes before flight time. Pre-boarding includes check-in, a passenger safety briefing and photo opportunity with the crew. 


Once boarded the passengers will experience the engine start up sequence, a few minutes taxi to the runway, and a pause on the runway for a full engine run-up and flight clearance. Once airborne the flight lasts approximately 20-25 minutes in the air.


Requirements

  • Passengers must be 12 years of age or older to fly in the AT-6 or U3a unaccompanied. Children over 5 years old may fly in the U3a with an accompanying adult passenger.
  • Maximum per passenger weight is 249 pounds.
  • Passengers must be physically able to enter and exit the aircraft unassisted (climb into and out of aircraft unassisted) and must be able to use a standard adult seat belt during the flight.
  • A liability release (at www.holdharmless.org) must be completed by the passenger prior to the flight. For passengers under 18 years old, the release must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian.
  • Passengers should wear long pants, and shoes with closed toes and heels.
  • Smoking is prohibited on the aircraft ramp and in the hangar.

Join us at the Terre Haute Air Show Regional, and celebrate America 250 with a Living History Flight Experience in the Historic "That's All Brother".


Be a D-Day paratrooper in the C-47A That’s All, Brother (Named by its D-Day crew as message to Adolf Hitler) “That’s All, Brother” is the C-47A troop carrier aircraft that led the Airborne Invasion on D-Day, June 6, 1944, carrying 101st Airborne Division paratroopers into France during the D-Day invasion.  During the remainder of WWII, “That’s All Brother” served in Operation Dragoon, Market Garden, the Relief of Bastogne, and Operation Varsity. She also returned to Europe for the 75th & 80th anniversaries of D-Day in 2019 & 2024.
